During her time as a nun, she took a vow of poverty as part of her spiritual devotion.A vow of poverty may originally represent simplicity, humility, trust, or freedom from attachment. However, the beliefs connected to that vow can remain deeply embedded in the subconscious—even after a person’s life and circumstances have changed.Many women have never formally taken a vow of poverty, yet they still carry similar beliefs:<ul><li>I must struggle to be spiritual.</li><li>It is wrong to want more.</li><li>Charging for healing or spiritual work is selfish.</li><li>Other people’s needs should always come before mine.</li><li>Receiving money for my gifts makes my work less sacred.</li><li>I must sacrifice myself to prove that I care.</li><li>If I become successful, I will lose my spiritual integrity.</li></ul>These messages may come from religion, family, culture, past experiences, ancestral patterns, or the expectations placed upon women. Over time, they can become what Leslie describes as a trance of lack.We may consciously desire abundance while unconsciously believing that it is unsafe, selfish, or unspiritual to receive it.Leslie’s work helps uncover the deeper beliefs and hidden vows that may influence our relationship with money, visibility, support, and receiving. We listen, nurture, teach, guide, comfort, and hold space for others.Giving is beautiful when it comes from a place of choice and fullness. But giving becomes harmful when it requires us to abandon ourselves.Overgiving may look like:<ul><li>Saying yes when your body is asking you to rest</li><li>Offering more time and energy than you can sustainably give</li><li>Undercharging or refusing payment for valuable work</li><li>Feeling responsible for everyone else’s healing</li><li>Believing your needs are less important</li><li>Feeling guilty when someone helps or supports you</li><li>Giving until you feel exhausted, resentful, or invisible</li><li>Immediately trying to repay anything you receive</li></ul>This is where the idea of the Sovereign Feminine becomes so important.The Sovereign Feminine is loving, compassionate, intuitive, and generous—but she is not powerless. She recognizes the sacredness of her energy. She understands that her boundaries protect her gifts. She does not have to suffer to prove her worth, and she does not confuse self-neglect with spiritual service.She serves from fullness rather than emptiness.<h2 id="dff4167c-5100-48d1-9d8e-52e8ec6f88ae" data-toc-id="dff4167c-5100-48d1-9d8e-52e8ec6f88ae" style="text-align: left; font-size: 24px; line-height: 1.2;">Returning to the Sacred Womb</h2>After Leslie’s work with the subconscious beliefs surrounding poverty, sacrifice, and lack, I guide participants into Divine Feminine healing and womb healing.The womb is more than a physical organ. It can also be understood as a sacred energetic and creative center—a place connected with intuition, desire, receiving, creation, transformation, and personal power.Womb healing is not limited to pregnancy, fertility, or motherhood. It is open to women in every season of life, including women who are postmenopausal, have experienced hysterectomy, have experienced pregnancy loss, or have a complicated relationship with the womb and traditional ideas about femininity.You do not need to have a physical womb to connect with the wisdom of your creative center.Many women have experienced shame, grief, trauma, illness, rejection, overwork, or years of putting everyone else first. It can include love, rest, time, creativity, opportunities, pleasure, community, spiritual connection, and the freedom to live in alignment with our values.Abundance also requires the willingness to receive.For women who have spent their lives caring for others, receiving can feel surprisingly uncomfortable. We may want support, but our nervous system may not believe that it is safe to have it. We may accept help and then immediately feel guilty or obligated to repay it.Womb healing can help us explore these patterns through the body rather than only through the thinking mind.Can I receive without apologizing?Can I rest without proving that I have earned it?Can I allow my gifts to be valued?Can I be supported without losing my independence?Can I experience abundance and remain true to my spiritual path?The Sovereign Feminine teaches us that receiving is not selfish. Receiving is part of the sacred rhythm of life. There must be an inhale as well as an exhale.
